Now open: AWS Canada West (Calgary) Region
The AWS Canada West (Calgary) Region consists of three Availability Zones and is the second AWS Region in Canada, joining the AWS Canada (Central) Region which launched in 2016. The new Region will provide Canadian businesses and organizations with even more options to run workloads with higher performance, greater flexibility, and availability, while securely storing all their data in Canada. For customers in Western Canada, the new Region will offer even lower latency.
The addition of the AWS Canada West (Calgary) Region is a natural progression of AWS’ continued investment and support of our customers in Canada and will continue powering their digital transformation. By 2037, AWS aims to invest $24.8 billion in Canada via the new AWS Canada West (Calgary) Region and the existing AWS Canada (Central) Region in Quebec, with more than $4 billion in Alberta alone.
